Arthur Alexander Matheson was Emeritus Professor of Scots Law in the University of Dundee. He graduated MA with first-class honours in Classics, and LLB, with distinction, from the University of Edinburgh and became a Classical Exhibitioner at Balliol. He passed advocate in 1944.
